Club of historical modeling and reconstruction "Kaup"

From the name it is clear that the club has narrow enough specialization. Kaup (in translation with antient Icelandic "tender", "fair") - the largest on Sambia shopping center-craft existed from the beginning of IX century till 1016. Population of Kaup was multi-national, (basically Prussian-Scandinavian) supervised trade at the Baltic coast, was engaged in processing of amber and a bone.

Our purposes and problems:
- Studying and reconstruction of all parties of a life on Kaup. (a social system, a life, mutual relations with neighbours, etc.)
- Arts and crafts: work on a leather and bones, processing of amber, weaving of a band, an embroidery, etc.
- the Weapon and protection, studying of tactics of fight.
- dances, games, competitions.
- mythology and beliefs.
- traditional actions: Ting, Vapnating, Yol, etc
- Participation in archeological excavations, projects and seminars mentioning subjects of club.
- participation in festivals of medieval culture of local and international scale.
- the organization of demonstration performances.
